Moonbull

The moon looks like a bull,
trampling the trees tonight.

The moon looks like a bull,
trampling the trees tonight.

Everything is quiet,
but peace doesn’t come
without a fight.

I’ve been knocked down before,
but I’ll get up one day, you’ll see.

I’ve let myself be knocked down,
but I’ll get up one day, you’ll see.

I’m almost ready to be happy.
Don’t give up on me.

Lightning splits the sky
and I wonder where you are.

Lightning splits the sky
and I wonder where you are.

Did honesty bring us closer?
Or did it drive you someplace far?

I dreamed there was a god
who killed a calf
and gave her a second birth.

I dreamed there was a god
who killed a calf
and gave her a second birth.

I believe in unconditional love,
though it’s nothing
I’ve ever seen on earth.

The moon looks like a bull,
trampling the trees tonight.

The moon looks like a bull,
trampling the trees tonight.

Everything is quiet,
but peace doesn’t come
without a fight.
